5 out of 5 starsDefinitely met and went beyond my expectations! TalenshiStudios has outdone themselves with the journal. I ordered one that came with lined paper--i like to write, and I'm definitely going to order some more refillable paper as soon as I fill it up! :) The rest of my DnD friends were flabbergasted as well when i shown it off! Absolutely beautiful.

5 out of 5 starsShipped very quickly and is super cute! Has a fresh wood smell and is high quality. It's smaller than I expected so make sure you read the dimensions. Other than that it's great and looks good in our kitchen!

Care instructions
Care for your travel journal as you would any other hard cover book. The covers are quite durable and not easily damaged from everyday use/ carrying in a backpack, etc.
A zip lock bag will help protect the journal's pages from catching on other objects in a backpack if you carry a lot of items with you.
What types of pages/ endpapers do you offer?
We offer blank, lined, grid, dot grid, isometric grid, music staff, planner, and table top ref sheet pages for now, but if there is a style you would like to see or would like to have in your order, just ask!
We stock four different hand made papers at a time- each listing has a photo that shows our current end-paper options.
How can I place a custom Order?
First: Choose the size and page style for your journal from the "Travel Journal Size and Paper" options drop down menu.
Second: Choose "Custom Color Order" from the "Travel Journal Color Scheme and Details" drop down menu.
Third: Please specify the following in the "notes to Talenshi Studios” box at the checkout:
1. Your desired cover color.
2. The color you want the design on the book to be.
3. Your desired ribbon/bookmark color.
Bonus: If you want to, you can even provide a color hex code (example: #70F70D) from a site like: http://htmlcolorcodes.com/ and we will do our best to match it (Please keep in mind the wood grain will show through a bit and alter the color slightly)!
Magnet safety with Medical Devices
Medical devices:
Our Refillable covers and page refills contain Neodymium magnets.
The strong magnetic fields near a neodymium magnet can affect pacemakers, ICDs and other implanted medical devices. Many ICDs are made with a feature that deactivates it when it comes into contact with a magnet. Many Pacemakers change modes when in contact with a magnet. Once the magnet is removed, normal function resumes.
Our magnetic books should be safe as long as you do not fall asleep with them in contact with your implanted device.
If you have one of these devices, and are concerned about magnetic interference, we suggest purchasing our normal, non-refillable books instead.
Magnet safety with technology
The strong magnetic fields near neodymium magnets can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic I.D. cards, cassette tapes, video tapes or other such devices. They can also damage televisions, VCRs, computer monitors and CRT displays. Avoid placing neodymium magnets near electronic appliances.
Cell phones and solid state drives should be fine.
Karen has been carrying a magnetic refillable book in her backpack which has a special pocket for her non solid state laptop. So far the laptop has not been affected.
Safety and High temperatures
Nickel Allergy Warning:
The magnets in our refillable covers and page refills are coated in nickel. They are encased in paper/ bookcloth in our product. If this is a concern, please stick with our non-refillable books.
High Temperatures/ Moisture:
Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures or with repeat exposure to moisture. While we do not recommend leaving a refillable book in a hot car, we have also tested this with no decrease in magnetization so far. The glue used in binding is probably more at risk of failure with prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
